It is a new building introduced in Doomsday Last Survivor in mid‑September 2025. (available for players with Shelter level 13)
By clicking the building, several options will appear:
Inside the refinery interface you will see a big building and 6 other smaller ones on the right.
At the moment, only 3 are unlocked. The other 3 will be unlocked further when your big building’s level increases OR when you buy a “Refinement Privilege Pass” of which will unlock 1 more straight away for 30 days.
Your big building will gain EXP upon successfully refining ore into Fire-Forged Alloy in the small building.
Ore comes with different quality (green, blue, and purple). So far purple ore can only be obtained from buying packs.
You can see the amount of ore you have, by looking at the top right middle of the screen. If you see the screenshot below, I have 0 6 0 for each.
You will get some everyday, with the quantity depending on the big building’s level.

When you add ore into the building, countdown will start (3 hours). Once the countdown finishes, you will receive Fire-Forged Alloy (100) with varying quality (common, premium, elite, legendary).
Note: Even a green ore (if you are lucky), can give you Fire-Forged Alloy (Legendary).
If you happen to get Fire-Forged Alloy (Legendary), immediately use High-Efficiency Machine Oil x 3 to instantly finish it.
You can buy them by clicking on the fuel cartridge icon (top right), costs 50 gems per item.
From the looks of it, only Legendary Squad Equipment are worth the hassle and worth to sell.
The game introduces the concept of plundering. Where the other person from different alliance can go to your shelter and rob your refinement.

If you want to plunder someone, there are 2 ways of doing this.
Each plunder will lower your Fire-Forged Alloy amount by 10. Note that there are modifiers to this
Go to newer region then click on other player’s shelter, hand icon will be there on the right side of their portrait. Click on that and plundering interface will appear.
If you found a somewhat active alliance with no strong player to oppose you, bookmark that region and comeback everyday.
Here you will see interface to equip and smith equipment for your squads.

Upon equipping equipments, the buffs will be added to that squad.
Before doing anything, you need to select a job. Think of it like a specialist.
If you smith an equipment with the same nature as your job, buffs will be added to increase the equipment quality.
To increase your job level, you need to smith equipment of that nature. A higher level job will increase your chance of smithing higher quality equipment.

Once selected, you are good to go.
If you change your mind, a free re-selection is available in 30 days, OR you pay 3000 gems.
Check on the auction platform and see what people are making. Pick a job where the associated equipment is hardly inside.
Note: Weapon is super common.
By clicking on the squad’s equipped equipment, you will have the option to smelt or upgrade.
Smelting will transform your equipment into Enhanced Alloy, which can be used to level up other equipment.

Personally, I will smelt all common and Rare. Elite will be placeholder until I have the legendary version for my squad.
If you only focused on one type and want to make your might lean, skip the other squad types apart from your main.
By using 100 of your Fire-Forged Alloy, you can craft equipments of your choice. (Remember the job type I explained earlier, here is where that will shine).
You will see the % rate on the right side, as well as tabs to select equipment type (choose between pistol, grenade, armor, or misc)

Additionally you can click on the right plus button, where you can add either Elite or Legendary Augment material to further increase legendary equipments.
